Garden Goodies

I've been away for almost a month from the end of July and well into August, so my garden has been neglected this summer.

 

To make matters worse, August has been a mess weather-wise : maximum temps at around 20C and a lot of rain.

 

As you can imagine, my garden was far from thriving upon my return...well, except for the grass :)

 

Yet, there are a few things I can still pick up from the garden and I am surely enjoying every single one of them.

 

Here's what I brought inside today (plus a half-ripe tomato that I forgot to include in the set-up)

I have not managed to write a single post last month - it's been busy at work and busy at home, but it's also been a month of events and celebrations: my birthday, the birth of a friend's child .... the final arrival of spring.
